Christoph Ashok
Christoph is a London based musician, photographer and film maker. Born and raised in the big smoke he's played with artists across multiple genres such as Florence and the Machine, Shakka, L.A Salami and sitarist Shama Rahman. He's scored numerous short films and adverts for brands such as Jaguar and Sony, plus performed live at some of the most prestigious venues in town, including the Albert Hall, South Bank Centre, Barbican and the Roundhouse, not to mention all of the major festivals around the country. He's currently recording and performing with drummer Tansay Omar's (Bjork, Nineh Cherry) world/funk band Funkshy and the singer/songwriter Sophie Kilburn.
Relatively new to filmmaking, Christoph works regularly with Wolfpack Productions who are known for their award winning web series. Also, through his work with Gormville and and Grayscale production companies he's shot content for the Young Vic (Orfeus), The Wyndham Theatre (Leopoldstadt, Tom Stoppard), the Noel Coward Theatre (Dear Evan Hansen), Disney and the BBC.
However, he particularly enjoys working with independent artists like Amy. He likes the opportunity to combine photography with film making and (often) music in order to define and convey an artist’s unique image and/or message via digital mediums. Another example of this can be seen in his work for Immersive Dracula, due for a future debut at The Islington Metal Works.
Christoph also has his own music, photography and film projects constantly on the boil and hopes to one day find the time to finish cooking them!
